Terms of use
The terms for using Letterium: what you may not post, the organizer’s role, buying a keepsake and refunds, and liability.
These terms set out how you may use Letterium (“the service”). By using the service, you agree to them. Operator: Olhi Studio (sole proprietor: An Donghun), Seoul, Republic of Korea
1. The service
The service is a website where the person who makes a card (“the organizer”) gathers handwritten messages from many people with a writing link and shows them to the recipient as a show, through a viewing link. Making a card, gathering messages and the viewing link are free.
2. Accounts
The organizer signs in with a Google account. People who write messages and the recipient don’t sign in: they use the links. Anyone who has a link can write or watch with it, so the organizer should choose carefully whom to send it to, and can replace it with a new link in the editor when needed.
3. What you may not post
- Anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights, such as their reputation, privacy or copyright
- Hate, harassment or threats aimed at a person or a group
- Sexual or violent content
- Someone else’s personal details, such as a phone number or address, without their consent
- Anything that disrupts the service, or large numbers of requests sent by automated means
4. The organizer’s role
The organizer manages the card’s links and can hide messages from the show or move them to another question. The organizer can delete the card at any time, and a deleted card can’t be restored. We may block or delete, without notice, a card or a message that breaks section 3.
5. Rights in messages
Messages and handwriting belong to the people who wrote them. By writing a message, you allow the service to store it, turn it into the show and the keepsake, and show it to people who have the link, as far as that requires.
6. Buying a keepsake, and refunds
The keepsake is digital content: the show as a PDF and a print-ready image to download. The keepsake costs US$6.99 (plus any sales tax, shown at checkout). Payment is processed by Paddle.com Market Limited as the merchant of record, and Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to payment and tax.
Because the keepsake is delivered right away, it can’t be returned or refunded once the download starts, except where the law of your country says otherwise. The checkout screen says this before you pay. If the file is faulty, we’ll reissue it or refund you.
If you’re under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before buying.
7. Changes to the service, and closing it
We may change the service’s features or close the service. If we close it, we’ll announce it on this site in advance, together with the date after which viewing links will stop working.
8. Liability
Unless we act intentionally or with gross negligence, we are not liable for losses caused by faults in the free features or by data loss. A dispute that arises from a message is the responsibility of the person who wrote it. This section applies only as far as the applicable law allows.
9. Governing law and contact
- Governing law and courts
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes go to the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
